The Direction You Take

The Direction You Take

(from “The Direction West” by Kazu Matsui)

It was one of the greatest recording session with the Vocalist Jennifer Warnes, who sang “Up Where We Belong” with Joe Cocker year after this recording.  This song is my prayer for the future generations.   Kazu

Direction you take

Do you know the blessings from the hills

Morning dews are echoes from the stars

Loneliness of the shoreless ocean

Let’s you be one with the wind

Sail to the rising sun

When you see the streams of your life

Do you know the direction that you’ll take

When you chart your way across the sea

You will be one with the wind

Sail into the morning sun

On this shoreless sea, all wonderers are not lost

Ask yourself again the meaning of the waves

Now you are standing tall, the sun on your face

The answers fly to you on the edge of a wind

You’ll see

Do you know the depth of all the sea

And the play shadows on the waves

Emptiness of the far horizon

Let’s you be one with the wind

Sail to the evening sun

On this shoreless sea, all wonderers are not lost

Ask yourself again the meaning of the waves

Now you are standing tall, the sun on your face

The answers fly to you on the edge of a wind

Moonless night of silent sea, you feel so lonely

Then you see the distant sorrow

May your soul reach me

Keep the hope, keep the faith

as all the stars shining in their splendor

On this shoreless sea, all wonderers are not lost

Ask yourself again the meaning of the waves

Now you are standing tall, the sun on your face

The answers fly to you on the edge of a wind

I know

Well, you are standing tall, the sun on your face

The answers fly to you on the edge of a wind

You’ll see,

On this shoreless sea
